Built from inside the problem.

Kanvo Technologies is a software company in Collinsville, Connecticut. It exists because the tools we needed to run a field service business didn't.

An IT career, a landscaping company, and a gap between them.

Kanvo Technologies was founded by Colby Kordas — an IT professional turned trades operator who spent years managing crews, equipment, and clients across Connecticut with software that was never designed for any of it.

Before launching Superior Landscaping LLC in 2021, Colby spent his career in IT: designing and deploying networks, managing technical infrastructure, and keeping businesses running. That background gave him a systems-level way of thinking about operational problems — and made the shortcomings of off-the-shelf field service software impossible to ignore.

When existing CRM and field service tools consistently fell short, he did what any engineer would do: built something better. Kanvo started as an internal tool running inside Superior Landscaping. It's now a standalone platform, and Superior Landscaping remains its first and most demanding customer.

"I didn't build Kanvo to start a software company. I built it because I needed it to exist."

Colby Kordas  ·  Founder, Kanvo Technologies

We're not building another CRM. We're rethinking what CRM means.

The CRM industry is a category defined by its first customers — enterprise sales teams with pipelines, quotas, and dashboards. That definition has constrained every product built since. The vocabulary is wrong. The workflows are wrong. The assumptions are wrong.

Kanvo Technologies exists to challenge those assumptions. We build software for businesses where the work is physical, the margin for error is real, and the team in the field is the product. That starts with the trades — and it doesn't stop there.

Every product we build will carry the same principle: software should work the way the people using it actually work. Not the other way around.

Proven against a live operation before it ships.

Kanvo isn't tested in a staging environment and shipped on a roadmap deadline. Features get used on real jobs, by real crews, in real conditions — and the person who wrote the code is also the person whose business breaks if it's wrong.

That's an unusual constraint for a software company, and it's the entire point.
